G. Pegam, austrian champion

Gerhard Pegam started to ride Fantic in 1977; in 1978 he won the Austrian Junior Trials Championship for 50 ccm bikes on a specially made Fantic 50. It was a prototype initiated by the Austrian Fantic importer BLM-Leitner from Aflenz. The bike was based on a 50ccm Caballero, with frame, suspension and geometrie already very close to the first Fantic 125 ccm which was introduced the same year.

In 1979 and 1980 he drove a Fantic 200. 1979 Gerhard won the Open (unlimited ccm) Junior Trials Championship and from 1980 onwards he participated in the Austrian Expert Trials Championship. From mid 1980 onwards I drove the Fantic 240 until late 1984, when I changed to a Fantic 300.

Results in the Austrian Trials Championship:
1980: 3rd.
1981: 2nd.
1982: 5th.
1983: 7th.
1984: 5th.

In 1983 and 1984 he won the Carinthian Trials Championship on a Fantic 240.
